Most of my friends and family members, who have recently changed their operating system to Windows 8 are continuously asking me about ‘how to boot Windows 8 in Safe Mode?’ It looks like that it is a big problem for all. So, I’m going to tell you about ‘How to Boot your Windows 8 in Safe Mode?’
Why people need to Boot their operating system in Safe Mode? Safe Mode is actually a mode of diagnostic of a operating system. Booting in safe mode can fix most of the problems within anoperating system. It is also helpful in removing any Malware (Malicious software, developed for the purpose of harming computers; examples include computer viruses, worms, trojans, and spyware) from your computer. It is also useful when you have stuck with a problem while normal booting of your operating system.
I have two methods by which you can boot your operating system in the safe mode.
*Click on the Start button present in the taskbar.
*Now, click on Run.
*Write ‘msconfig’ in the text box.
*Click Ok button. This will open a dialog box as shown in the figure below.
*In this dialog box select the Boot tab.
*Now, under the Boot options check the Safe boot check box.
Done! When you restart your computer, your windows 8 will boot in Safe mode and you can make required changes and if you want to return back to the normal windows follow the above procedure and just uncheck the Safe boot check box in the Boot options.
Note: This method will also work in Windows 7.
*Click on the Start Button in the taskbar.
*Now right click on your Profile Picture.
*Now either select Sign out or Lock.
*This will open up ‘User Selection Screen’, just click on the power icon at the bottom left side of the screen.
*Hold Shift Key and right click on the Restart option to boot into the Advanced options menu.
*Now, Advanced options menu will appear, click on Boot into Safe Mode under Windows Startup Settings.
